Nashville, N.C. – Nash County Public Schools (NCPS) and Nash Community College (NCC) are excited to announce an exciting development in their educational partnership. Beginning in the academic year 2024-2025, Center for Industry, Technology, & Innovation High School

(CITI) High School will relocate its campus to Nash Community College. The move to Nash Community College’s campus brings a wealth of opportunities for CITI High School students, faculty, and staff. With state-of-the-art facilities and a supportive learning environment, this relocation aims to enhance the overall educational experience for all members of the school community.

Dr. Steve Ellis, Superintendent of NCPS, said, “This collaboration represents a wonderful opportunity for students to access high-quality education in a dynamic learning environment. We look forward to seeing the positive impact this relocation will have on our students’ academic journey.”

Students at CITI High are dual-enrolled in both high school and NCC. The students work towards an Associate’s degree in one of five pathways: Automotive Systems Technology, Hospitality Management, Industrial Systems Technology, Information Systems Technology, or Medical Office Administration.

Dr. Lew Hunnicutt, President of NCC, echoed Dr. Ellis’s sentiments, stating, “While I have always considered CITI High a part of our campus, not having it physically located on campus has presented challenges for its growth. Relocating to campus presents CITI High students with many more opportunities for skilled trades training. I firmly believe that having CITI High on campus will allow its enrollment to grow and even surpass that of the Early College already located here,” said Hunnicutt.

Principal Kimberly Rascoe of CITI High School stated, “I am confident that this move will create new opportunities for growth, collaboration, and academic success for our students.”

In the coming months, more information about the relocation, including timelines and logistical details, will be communicated to students, families, and staff. CITI is still accepting applications for the 2024-2025 school year, applications can be found on ncpschools.net, search for CITI High School Application.

NCPS Nash-Rocky Mount Early College is already located on the NCC campus.
